All Or Nothing - The evolution of modern implantology

Mandibular atrophy severe represents one of the most challenging clinical conditions in modern implantology, requiring the clinician to make increasingly personalized and predictable therapeutic choices. The continuous evolution of digital technologies, CAD/CAM design, and implant morphologies now makes it possible to address situations once considered unsolvable through standard protocols.

This Live Surgery will offer participants the opportunity to witness, in real time, two implant-prosthetic rehabilitations performed on patients suffering from severe mandibular atrophy, comparing two different yet complementary therapeutic philosophies.

The first clinical case will illustrate the rehabilitation using custom subperiosteal implant, a solution recommended when the remaining bone volume does not allow for the placement of conventional implants endosseous implants and helps avoid extensive regenerative procedures.

The second presentation, on the other hand, will show a A fully endosseous approach using implants NanoShort with a conometric prosthetic strategy, planned using digital workflows and reverse engineering techniques, demonstrating how accurate planning can enable stable rehabilitations even in the presence of reduced bone volumes.

The entire clinical journey will be documented from the initial digital planning to the delivery of the prosthetic restoration on the same day, allowing participants to observe every phase of the workflow: radiological analysis, design, surgery, impression, prosthetic development, and case finalization. Through a direct comparison between the two strategies, the speakers will analyze indications, limitations, biomechanical advantages, prosthetic aspects, and decision-making criteria that guide the therapeutic choice in extreme mandibular atrophies, offering a practical and applicable vision in daily clinical practice.

A day with high clinical and scientific content, designed for implant surgeons and prosthodontists who want to explore the most modern solutions for the treatment of severe mandibular atrophies, comparing innovative approaches sharing the same goal: restoring function, stability, and quality of life even in the most complex cases.
